”Every hidden cell is throbbing with music and life, every fiber thrilling like harp strings.”

Have you ever wanted to...

My Approach

I believe that every student has the ability to succeed- either on a personal level, a professional level, or both. As a teacher, it is my goal to help you progress in a way that is engaging, rewarding, and fun. In lessons, I emphasize reliable practice skills and sound production through proper technique. Although I encourage a broad range of styles and love working with students on the songs or piece he/she/they may be excited about, my background is from a classical perspective and developing well- rounded musicians.

Elisabeth was the graduate teaching assistant for the beginning harp class at the University of Southern California for the academic years 2015- 2017 and 2019-2020. She was also the substitute instructor from 2018-2019 at the Freie Jugendorchesterschule Berlin (Independent Youth Orchestra School in Berlin), as well as teaching privately.

WHERE

In person lessons are taught at my location in Hermosa Beach. I'm also able to travel on a case by case basis.

HOW

If you're a beginner, you'll mostly likely be starting on a smaller lever harp rental. Your curriculum will depend on your personal goals, but will include note recognition, basic theory, musicality + expression, and will center around sound production and technique.

WHEN

Lessons take place once a week. You can choose between 30 minute (ideal for younger students) or 60 minute lesson times.
